Q1. Who are TenchGold?
A1. TenchGold is a building and carpentry
business based in north Hampshire primarily carrying out carpentry contracts
in the construction industry and building work in the private sector.
Q2. Why are TenchGold different?
A2. TenchGold bring a wide range of experience
from different sectors in the industry working not only to a professional
standard but in a professional manner.
Q3. I need my kitchen fitted. Can you help?
A3. TenchGold can manage the whole installation
project from the design stage to carrying out any necessary building work
required, right through to the tiling and decoration.
Q4. Are you insured?
A4. Yes. We are insured for £5,000,000
public liability, £10,000,000 employers insurance and £250,000 contract
insurance. Copies of our Insurance certificates can be made available
for your peace of mind.
Q5. I
need a carpentry contractor to tender on a labour only basis for the carpentry
work on a development of new houses. Can you help?
A5. Initially, just send all relevant drawings and we will be happy to give you a quote,
after which if there are any queries a site visit may be required.
Q6. We are thinking of having an extension and could do with some guidance. Can you help?
A6. TenchGold will help you right from the start, getting plans drawn up and
submitted, carrying out the groundwork and all other work right through to completion. Dealing with architects and building inspectors etc...
Q7. What do I do about getting planning permission?
A7. After a site visit, plans can be drawn up and submitted. TenchGold can take you through all the stages required to get your project completed.
Q8. Can you supply us with a written specification and plans?
A8. After our quote has been accepted a written specification and or plans can be
supplied when necessary.
Q9. Will the work comply with building regulations?
A9. Yes, building regulations are like
a guarantee from the building inspector who will make visits at various
stages of the project to ensure all work meets regulations and will only
issue a completion certificate when building control are completely satisfied.
Q10. Do you require payment in advance?
A10. Usually not. Most work will only require payment when certain previously agreed
stages of completion are reached.
Q11. Is a loft conversion expensive?
A11. A loft conversion is one of the most cost effective ways of adding additional space
to your home, but it is advisable to receive good advice from the beginning so you
know what can be realistically achieved.
